If you have already filed your federal taxes, it is easy and safe to apply directly through the Washington State Department of Revenue at www.WorkingFamiliesCredit.Wa.Gov.

Find a free community event in your area, or go to a Department of Revenue Field Office, located in 12 locations across the state.

Use the IRS’s free tool to find a provider participating in the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and the Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs, which also provide free Working Families Tax Credit application assistance. Search by your zip code to find free tax prep near you. Most locations provide a phone number to call and make an appointment. If you need support applying for or renewing your ITIN, be sure to ask if this support is available at that location.
